The story of Moses in The Bible

Moses was born in Egypt during a time when the Israelites, his people, were being treated poorly and made to work as slaves. Pharaoh, the ruler of Egypt, was afraid that the Israelites would become too powerful, so he ordered all the baby boys born to Israelite families to be thrown into the Nile River.

Moses' mother was afraid for her baby, so she put him in a basket and set it afloat on the river. The basket was discovered by Pharaoh's daughter, who took pity on the baby and decided to raise him as her own.

As Moses grew up, he became aware of his true identity as an Israelite. One day, while he was out walking, he saw an Egyptian taskmaster mistreating an Israelite slave. In anger, Moses killed the taskmaster and fled Egypt to escape punishment.

Moses eventually found himself living in the desert, where he encountered a burning bush that was not consumed by the flames. God spoke to Moses from the bush, calling him to return to Egypt and lead his people out of slavery.

With God's help, Moses confronted Pharaoh and demanded that he let the Israelites go free. When Pharaoh refused, God sent ten plagues upon Egypt, each one more severe than the last. Finally, after the tenth plague, Pharaoh relented and allowed the Israelites to leave Egypt.

Moses led his people out of Egypt and across the Red Sea, which God parted so that the Israelites could cross safely. Moses then received the Ten Commandments from God on Mount Sinai and became a great leader and prophet for his people.

Hope you learned the story of Moses and you can tell it to your friends.
